The year 2011 marks the 16th anniversary of the Annual Painting Competition, an exciting colourful event organized by NOIDA CATHOLIC YUVA SANGH (NCYS), the youth group of St. Mary’s Church, Noida. It is a part of the Feast Day of the Church (on 15th August), the day we celebrate our Independence Day as well.  Around 2100 students from various schools in and around Noida participated in the event this year. The competition serves as a platform for budding artists to express their talents through colour. The age group of the participants range from 5 to 17 yrs (Classes I to XII). To provide fair judgment to this wide range, these participants were divided into 6 groups with different topics. Each group will be awarded with three prizes. There will also be a total of 80 consolation prizes to be won. Besides this every participant will receive a participation certificate.

Results of the competition will be announced on 10th August, 2011 (by 8 pm) and the winning paintings will be uploaded to our Facebook page. Results will also be sent to the schools (for students who sent registrations via schools) by 11th August, 2011. All winners will also be contacted individually and will be intimated about the Prize Distribution Ceremony.

We would like to thank all the participants and their parents for their support and cooperation. NCYS on its part is grateful for the patronage it has received and will continue in its mission to bring joy and colour into the lives of young people.
